America is the land of opportunity, and sometimes an individual must acquire a work visa to make those opportunities available. At the Miami office of Irving Joseph Gonzalez, Attorney at Law, we handle employment-based immigration for individuals and their businesses throughout South Florida. We also provide co-counsel for business law firms whose clients have immigration concerns.
The Immigration & Naturalization Process for Businesses, Employees and Independent Contractors
We understand that the concerns of every business and individual are different. That is why we do everything we can to work closely with our clients. Listening closely to your concerns, we will advise you on what visa best suits your goals and will actually be obtainable. Once you have made an informed decision, we will prepare all files and documents to obtain the visa that is right for you:
- H visas: Temporary worker's visas, H-1B visas (for college-educated individuals or professionals, or individuals with the equivalent business experience), H-2B visas (for skilled and unskilled workers), H-3 visa (trainee visas)
- L-1 visas: Intracompany transferee visas
- O-1 visas: Extraordinary ability visas for doctors, nurses, engineers, actors, actresses, athletes, models, scientists and other individuals
- P visas: Athlete or entertainer visas
- E visas: Investor visas, E-1 visas (treaty trader visas), E-2 visas (treaty investor visas), E-3 visas (temporary work visa for Australians)
- B visas: Business visas, B-1 visas (business visitor visas), B-2 visas (tourist visas)
- R-1 visas: Religious visas
- Public interest waivers
Working with clients from across the globe, we will obtain all necessary translations and prepare all petition packages. Once all documents have been filed in a timely manner, we will complete all requested follow-up, including requests for evidence.
We do not merely file your petition and push you out the door. We work hard to help our clients find solutions to their employment based immigration concerns. In most cases, we continue attorney-client relationships for six months to a year after the initial visa has been awarded, at which point we will begin the process to obtain residency.
Foreign Labor Certification Process
We also help clients through the labor certification process. Dedicated to providing our clients with honest representation and helping them find the path to an efficient solution, we let our clients know when they can proceed directly without labor certification. When resident status is based on a particular visa, such as an O-visa, you may not have to go through the foreign labor certification process. It is important to find out more information before you take action either way.
